March Consulting Spotlight
March Consulting strongly believes that the tried and true ways of gaining employment after graduation no longer exist. Instead of touting that students major in a steady field and turn out resumes, we helps students to understand where their strengths and passions lie and how to mold a major and their experiences to position themselves for a career of their making. We empowers students to reinvent the old job market by networking, informational interviews, and skill building that is unique to a new job market and economy.
March Consulting encourages students to consider themselves the protagonist and hero of their life’s story and encourages them to make decisions that align with their goals, passions, values, and purpose. We tout the importance of working hard and creating their own opportunities instead of waiting for permission.

About Kat Clowes
After facing an nontraditional path after recovering from a car accident her junior year of high school, Kat embarked on a journey that would allow her to graduate high school a year early, start junior college, and end up with a Bachelor’s in Communications from Santa Clara University after beginning life as a veterinary major. Through careful marketing of herself and networking, Kat has worked in a variety of different industries, from costume design and entertainment to project management in the energy field. She received her Certificate in Educational Consulting from University of California, Irvine in 2011 and Master’s of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Mt. St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles in 2012. She's well versed in the struggles and confusion surrounding students in this new volatile market and, because of this, founded March Consulting in 2010.
A dynamic speaker and an author, Kat is changing the way students look at their college years with her upcoming book: Put College to Work: How to Use College to the Fullest, Discover Your Strengths, and Find a Job You Love Before You Graduate.
Kat is an active member of the National Association of Professional Women, an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, a proud Rotarian with Bakersfield Rotary Twilight, a member of the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce, and is the community service chairman for the Bakersfield Young Professionals.
